Each year, the individual departments of the Polish Academy of Sciences recognise scientists for their remarkable accomplishments and innovative research efforts. The prestigious PAS departmental awards hold significant esteem within the scientific community. These awards are presented annually to both Polish researchers and foreign scientists working in Poland for their exceptional and creative contributions to science. Nominations are put forward by members of the Polish Academy of Sciences and by those affiliated with specific scientific and problem committees of each department.
