It is with great pleasure that we would like to announce that the Institute of Mediterranean and Oriental Cultures of the Polish Academy of Sciences has received funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education under the programme ‘Excellent science’ - module: support for scientific conferences for the organisation of the Promotion of Polish Egyptological research at the conference ‘Old Kingdom Pottery - 3rd edition’. The grant amount is PLN 87 537.00.

The conference planned for 10-12 June 2020, will bring together archaeologists specialising in Old Kingdom pottery from Poland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Israel, Lebanon, Canada, Germany, Russia, the USA and the UK.

This is the third conference in the series, which is organised in cooperation with the Institute of Archaeology at the University of Warsaw.

		We are pleased to inform you that the electronic version of the 32nd volume of our journal, Études et Travaux, is already available (without any limitations) on the journal’s website (http://www.etudesettravaux.iksiopan.pl/index.php/en/current-issue). This volume is devoted to the research on ancient and early medieval cultures of Sudan. 2017 is the year of the 80th birthday of Associate Professor Stefan Jakobielski (PAS Professor) and it is our objective to celebrate the occasion with this particular issue. The 32nd volume of Études et Travaux has been funded through the programme of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Poland entitled “Narodowy Program Rozwoju Humanistyki” in 2016-2021 (“The National Programme for the Development of the Humanities”; project no. 3bH 15 0099 83).
